Discussion

So I was wondering what you guys would think of this. I've noticed several people asking where their captions are which most of them are done however I have them schedule like a month in advanced after I finish them. So I was thinking about changing Sundays to releasing requests and taking a break from animal captions. Let me know what you guys think.

Secret Switch

  1. It has been a long time since I have requested a caption, but I think mine was released under a requested caption day. I think that making a specific day your caption release day is a good way to get rid of back-logged captions. But I would have a contingency plan for when you finally run out of requests (returning to animals or something new). So I think that changing Sundays to releasing requests is a great idea.... I also am not a huge fan of animal captions, so my bias is definitely pulling me here.

  2. Honestly most of the animal caps don't necessarily appeal a great deal to me. That said, I guess I could say i like the idea for obvious reasons. I'm ok with whatever you decide to do though.

  3. Honestly, I'm not a fan of animal captions anyhow, so that sounds like a great solution. :-)

  4. Contrary to the above anonymous, I personally only come to this blog for animal caps.

However, I do think its more important for you to work on what continues to interest you and not burn out/force caps you don't feel like making.

  5. Animal caption are what makes your blog unique because almost nobody else does them. Your other content (especially swap class) is to be seen much more everywhere.

I wouldn't give up on animal captions.

  6. I really enjoy the animal captions (especially the voluntary ones) and would be disappointed if they were to stop as they are almost impossible to find anywhere else, especially on a regular basis. But if a short break to clear the backlog of requests and to find new motivation for them is what's needed that'd be ok (as long as it's not too long)

  7. Please don't give up on the animal captions. You are the only blog I've found that makes new ones regularly. I really enjoy them.
